Promise yourself….
To be so strong that nothing
can disturb your peace of mind.
To talk health, happiness, and prosperity
to every person you meet.
To make all your friends feel
that there is something in them
To look at the sunny side of everything
and make your optimism come true.
To think only the best, to work only for the best,
and to expect only the best.
To be just as enthusiastic about the success of others
as you are about your own.
To forget the mistakes of the past
and press on to the greater achievements of the future.
To wear a cheerful countenance at all times
and give every living creature you meet a smile.
To give so much time to the improvement of yourself
that you have no time to criticize others.
To be too large for worry, too noble for anger, too strong for fear,
and too happy to permit the presence of trouble.
To think well of yourself and to proclaim this fact to the world,
not in loud words but great deeds.
To live in faith that the whole world is on your side
so long as you are true to the best that is in you.

I had to step away from the blog world for a few days, because I am currently working on an interior design project in Jamaica. It was hard work, but I managed to have a little fun. I am trying to play catch up, but work seems never ending. With Christmas around the corner, it seems that there is not enough time to do all the things that need to be done. The only thing I can do really is take it one day at a time. “Smiles”

Sometimes I think about moving to a different state or out of the country. However, living in the Miami area is not so bad. You have beautiful weather year round and the beach is always a few steps away. I lived in New York for seven years and there are a few things I miss, like my best friend and snow at Christmas time. I don't know if I can take the cold weather anymore because Miami is home.
I was so inspired by this home in
Home Miami Magazine. Washington D.C based architect David M. Schwarz visited South Florida and decided to call Miami home. He brought this beautiful Mediterranean-style home and did some major renovations. This home was owned by a German industrialist, who turned it into a multifamily home with private quarters and separate entrances. David M. Schwarz redesigned the home to make it one house again. He enlarged the windows and doorways to capture the full views of Biscayne Bay. To see more of David M. Schwarz work

It is so great to gather the people you love together and enjoy the comfort of a place you call home.

Sometimes it takes a lot to ask yourself questions because you may not like the answers you find. The hardest thing to do is self-analysis. The thing that works for me is writing it down in a poem. I can write a book with all these inspirational poems that I have written over the years. I wrote this short poem a while back after feeling a bit down.
If not now than when?
It’s the same thing over and over again. You are too young. You are too old.
If not now than when?
When will it be ok to start living your dreams?
When will it be ok to live for you?
If not now than when?
If you love the life you live, you will surly get a lot more done.
So ask yourself, “If not now than when?”

This time of the year is so busy for everyone. I have decided to have some "Me Time." Between managing my blogs, designing home decors and Interior design work, it seems that I am spreading myself thin. I am not complaining because all these things, I love to do. Everyone desires some “alone time”. Therefore, I have decided to relax and do, "Yoga on the beach."

I am in the process of designing a bookshelf. Sometimes it is very hard to know where to start. Choosing the right one for your client needs is very important. There are so many styles of bookshelves: ladder, build-in, free stand, wall-hung etc. These are a few inspirations I have found.

A few weeks ago, I've started an "Adult Ballet Class." I have always wanted to take ballet classes, but growing up, I was too shy. It was very hard at first but now I am looking forward to my classes every week. I am not trying to be a professional ballet dancer. My goal is to just accomplish a dream I've always had. It's never too late to start living your dreams.
